Mental Note:
Try to have more Christmases where the world doesn't need saving. The idea of a vacation is actually kind of nice.
Guess that means I need to get back to work now, though, doesn't it?

Well! I hope everyone made it out of all of that, alright!
You're not having any trouble with the teleporters now, are you? I mean, that was a bit of a close call and whatnot, so... yes.
Teleporters. I just reprogrammed. Easy, really, but it had a bit of an inconvenience as well. Sorry if it got in the way of anything.
It will help keep people from getting into the remains of Nhode, which is really dangerous. Wouldn't want people getting caught in an area that's on the verge of collapse, right?
Anyway!
Now that things have quieted down a bit, how is everyone else handling?

(OOC: This is part of the 10/31 posts. Just so people know~ Also, this is probably going to go off a little later on the Doctor's post, but for the time being, since everyone else seems to be at the appropriate point...
More OOC! Also to prevent confusion immediately- the 'danger area' is the collapsed main city of Nhode. We're trying to work a way around to keep people from showing up in there. So, the Doctor's been poked to shut those teleporters down. This is also the cause of the alarms in two of the scenes. :D)
--
[Audio Recording with a text transcription. Holographic video available if the technology is present. It is definitely the Doctor who was behind this recording.]
If you are receiving this message, then the frequency and protocol numbers of your communication device have been detected and confirmed as a part of the interdimensional communications network as developed by the organizations of OSTA and ANTI.
This is pre-recorded message #823 set to be transmitted by the TARDIS when certain situational criteria have been met.
The following criteria for this message are:
- security alarms for the teleporter network sounding for precisely 64% of the operational units within a set number of coordinates. - a decrease of matter transference by 84.3% as detected by positioning devices placed throughout the escape tunnels surrounding Nhode. - the detection of mass power failures in the global network within any of the locations in the underground tunnel system located upon Weisdia.
Research has proven that only in a mass breakdown of the network, would edits to the basecode be available to people outside of a certain security protocol.
As such, along with the broadcast of this message, a program is being transmitted into the teleporter network system during its seemingly imminent demise. The purpose of this program is to examine the multidimensional coordinates for each teleporter and designate it as belonging inside or outside a 'safe area' preprogrammed in the protocols defined by the TARDIS.
The area designated as 'no longer safe' is inside a set perimeter and within the remains of the original Nhode that was collapsed by OSTA during the month of July. Any teleporter within this 'danger zone' will be shut down. This is a permanent change, and they are to be considered completely removed from the network. If you are in the designated danger zone, you will have precisely 300 seconds once this broadcast has ended to make your way to these teleporters before the reprogramming is complete.
If you are in this area please begin your exit immediately. Do not wait for the end of this transmission.
If a teleporter is outside of the danger area, it will then begin to initiate the reprogramming of its placement on the network to adjust the loss of the teleporters from the system. All teleporters must shut down for this programming to take place.
300 seconds after the transmission of the broadcast, the entire network will shut down completely. But the teleporters of the designated 'safe area' will restart one at a time over the next 900 seconds.
Do not attempt to travel during this time period. Do not attempt to power up the teleporters.
Doing so may result in the death of the traveler or the destruction of the unit.

OOC: This takes place on the 31st, by the way.
Now that I got this blasted thing working again...
[filtered to rose]
There's a little problem going on. I had an idea, and I might need a hand. Care to join me? It'll be just like old times, I think.

[filtered to people not allied to OSTA or Ash]
What is that throwback horror flick monster up to? I see that he's invading Nhode. Or the remnants of it, at least.
I've got an idea. I'll be busy doing that. Hold him off, for me please~
[/filtered]
Also, Ash? Evil Ash? who uses 'evil whatever' anyway nowadays? That was so 80's, even if you were from the 90's.
Yeah. Guess what. Hello~ Didn't work!

So.
A jail cell, a grand series of adventures, 1 broken pencil, 50 sudoku puzzles, a hop skip and jump through the time vortex, and a chicken! And voila! I have returned!
...though it seems as if a lot has happened. Nhode collapsed? Man. Should've made sure those columns were better built. I once saw this structure in a far away place that was so amazingly tall- you couldn't imagine what its columns were built from.
Gotta love 'em, columns, that is.
I had a chance to play it as a game once. That was neat. And fun. Neat fun! Yes! That's the perfect word!
And today's lesson is the pen(cil) is mightier than the sword. Truthfully. And nothing helps a cold night like a heavy wool coat and a sonic screwdriver.
It's best not to ask, really.
Hastily edited in: 53 sudoku puzzles, to be exact. In order of completion from 5 stars to 1. The 1 stars were so easy that they weren't really any fun at all.
Vexen: They only kept me busy for 41 minutes. Thanks for the try anyway!
Edited in again: 41 minutes and 28 seconds.

This message can be voice, holographic, or text. It seems to be sent out in multiple formats. If you get voice, you will hear that it's an audio recording of the Doctor. If you get holographic, you can see a rather staticish image of him standing perfectly still saying the message.
This is automated message number five-zero-one-six-four. In the case of a span of one hundred and sixty eight earth hours after the security shutdown of the TARDIS systems, this message has been set to be transmitted. As I'm sure you can tell, I am the Doctor. If you haven't met me, well, we'll meet sometime in the future- I'll be delighted to see it. For reasons unknown to me at this time, I felt it necessary to put a security lock on the TARDIS systems, activate MPM, and there has been no opportunity for me to return everything to normal. I can't tell you what's happened, as I've recorded this message prior to whatever event has happened. This message will only play once, as I don't want to be irritating. And it may be that there's just nothing wrong in the first place. I may be fishing. I've not done that in awhile... Right. Anyway. If there has been some sort of dangerous undertaking that I've made, or that someone has been looking for me, this is for you. Otherwise, you all may disregard. End message.
This isn't filtered, by the way. It's open to all. If anyone in OSTA is studying the TARDIS- they may be able to pinpoint the coordinates themselves, since it's right there. :D
[OOC: This is specifically for someone else, but people are more than welcome to run with it. :D]

I can't help but ask...
What does OSTA stand for in the first place?
Office of Space and Terrestrial Applications? Old Spanish Trail Association? Oregon Substitute Teacher Association? Octangular Silence Treasure Applications? That last one made more sense in theory. Really.
